To cultivate the seeds of traditional music and inspire the next generation, the Taipei Chinese Orchestra (TCO) has hosted its annual Summer Music Camp for 30 consecutive years. Providing top-tier professional faculty and comprehensive administrative resources, this camp has allowed countless students to connect with fellow music lovers, with many even choosing to pursue music as their lifelong profession.
To provide young musicians with deeper professional nourishment and invaluable stage experience, TCO launched the inaugural "Rising Stars Chinese Music Camp" in August 2025. Through a competitive audition process, brilliant young talents from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the UK, and the USA gathered in Taipei. After a week of intensive rehearsals and professional masterclasses, they delivered stunning, highly acclaimed performances at the Taipei Zhongshan Hall and the Concert Hall of the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying).
Building on that resounding success, the 2026 2nd Rising Stars Chinese Music Camp is now in full preparation! This August, acclaimed conductor Cheng Li-pin will lead the charge to forge a professional, passionate, and dynamic TCO Rising Stars Chinese Orchestra. This year’s concert tour features a stellar lineup, specially inviting three world-renowned virtuosos—Zhan Yong-ming, Huang Chen-da, and Chen I-chien—to share the stage. Prepare to witness the commanding presence of these musical prodigies and listen to the brilliant voices of tomorrow.
